The Advanced Kayak Courses: Elevate Your Paddling is an 8-day / 7-night progressive whitewater kayaking program designed for experienced paddlers who want to refine their technical skills and gain confidence on Nepal’s diverse Himalayan rivers.
Starting and ending in Kathmandu, the course follows a three-river progression: Bhote Koshi → Balephi → Sunkoshi. Each river provides a different training environment, allowing participants to develop advanced boat control, river-reading ability, technical maneuvering, and river safety skills.
Training includes rolling, edging, bracing, ferry glides, eddy turns, river reading, rapid scouting, line selection, rescue techniques, river communication, and technical river running. The Sunkoshi section adds a multi-day expedition element, including longer river days, group management, and practical river-planning skills.

The 8-day / 7-night Advanced Kayak Course follows a progressive route from Kathmandu → Bhote Koshi → Balephi → Sunkoshi → Kathmandu. River difficulty and water levels can vary significantly by season and weather.
The final river sections, training locations, and daily schedule may be adjusted by our instructors according to participant experience, river conditions, weather, water levels, road conditions, and safety requirements. The course is intended for experienced kayakers with existing whitewater skills; it is not a beginner kayaking course.
Safety is our priority. All participants must follow instructor guidance, use appropriate safety equipment, and take part in the required safety briefing and rescue training. In exceptional conditions, a river section may be replaced or the itinerary modified to maintain a safe and appropriate training environment.
