The expedition combines exciting rapids, deep river valleys, forests, traditional villages, suspension bridges, and peaceful riverside beaches.

Designed for experienced and confident kayakers, the trip includes demanding Class III–IV whitewater, technical rapids, and long days on the river. River difficulty can vary with the season and water level, so the route and daily sections are adjusted according to current conditions.

The expedition is supported by experienced kayaking guides, safety kayakers, camping equipment, river equipment, meals, and logistical support. Nights are spent at carefully selected riverside camps, providing an authentic wilderness experience beneath the eastern Nepal sky.

Over 10 days, the Tamor offers a combination of adrenaline, remote wilderness, cultural encounters, and expedition-style kayaking, making it an ideal choice for paddlers looking to explore one of Nepal's less-traveled Himalayan rivers.

Important Note

The 10-day / 9-night Tamor River Kayaking Expedition is a remote and physically demanding whitewater adventure designed for experienced kayakers. River conditions in Nepal can change quickly, so the exact kayaking sections, campsites, and daily schedule may be adjusted for safety.

  • River levels, weather, road conditions, and local conditions are checked before and during the expedition.
  • The expedition leader may modify, shorten, or temporarily stop a river section if conditions become unsafe.
  • Participants should have previous Class III–IV whitewater kayaking experience, strong swimming ability, and good physical fitness.
  • All participants must follow the instructions of the river guides and safety kayakers.
  • A properly fitted helmet and personal flotation device (life jacket) must be worn whenever kayaking.
  • Because the Tamor passes through remote areas, medical facilities and communication may be limited during parts of the expedition.
  • Personal travel insurance with whitewater kayaking, emergency medical treatment, evacuation, and adventure activities coverage is strongly recommended.
  • The itinerary may change because of heavy rainfall, floods, landslides, weather, river conditions, or other safety concerns.
  • Camping is in remote riverside locations, so participants should be prepared for basic expedition-style facilities.
  • Please inform the expedition team in advance about medical needs, allergies, dietary requirements, or other important considerations.
  • The safety of guests, guides, and the expedition team takes priority over completing the planned route
